Employees often wonder whether they can join or create a union. Qualified employees can petition the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) to conduct a secret ballot election in the workplace to determine whether union representation is desired by the employees of particular employers. This is a law that is up for review nationally. An employer cannot and should not interfere with any part of the union organizing process.
