Access to School Records in a Divorce with Sole Custody to One Parent
Even if one parent is awarded sole custody of the children, the other party, nevertheless, has access to medical, dental and school records. Pursuant to Sec. 767.41(7(a) Wis. Stats., “Except under par. (b) or unless otherwise ordered by the court, access to a child’s medical, dental and school records is available to a parent regardless of whether the parent has legal custody of the child.”
